Reply-To: [your-email] not working

  • Hi there,

    I would like to be able to click on reply and send the mail to the sender instead of my own mailadress. So I added Reply-To: [your-email] in Additional headers section, but nothing changed.

    Someone wrote “you need to check your SMTP plugin settings (often in Advanced section) in order to disable this behavior.” But I have no idea where this is.
    This is my active theme: Electro (https://demo3.madrasthemes.com/electro/v2/)

    Please help me out because it is really annoying now not to be able to reply to incoming mails.

    That was me :). I was referring to the case that you had an SMTP plugin or a custom SMTP configuration. If the Reply-To: option does not work, this is usually the source of the issue, since some SMTP plugin can override this value, even if you set it on Contact Form 7 Mail settings.

    Please make sure you’re using a correct syntax, this way:
    Reply-To: [your-email]

    This one is incorrect:
    Reply To: [your-email]
    (It has a space in the option name)

    If you’re sure that you don’t have any SMTP plugin, or custom configuration, and that your settings are fine, please provide the list of plugins you’re using in your site.
