• My wish was to have a blog that operates as a conversation. I wrote a post, two people responded. I then responded to each comment. But when I wanted to add a comment myself, in order to summarize and to move the conversation further, my comment appeared at the top, just under my original post, which put it out of order in the conversation. Is it possible that I can be the author of the original post and a participant? Moreover, will all future replies get placed under each respondent’s comments,or can I have every comment listed on the post page in the order in which they were approved?

  • Unless you provide a link to a page demonstrating the problem, no one will be able to offer much in the way of assistance.

Sorry, I thought I did. I used the link button above. This time I simply typed it in.

I can’t see the problem. Your comments are in strict date & time order.

Let me ask the question another way. Do I get only one chance to reply to a comment? Is it possible for anyone, not just the editor, to reply twice to the same comment, say an hour after they left a reply but wanted to add to it?

I was hoping that no matter who was commenting, or how many times they replied to the same comment, that every addition to the conversation would appear in sequential order. Am I wrong?

You should be able to reply as many times as you want to any given comment. Have you enabled threaded comments in Settings -> Discussion?

I just did (after reading your suggestion). I’ll try it now.
