Report Comments Settings Bug

  • Hi there,
    superb plugin but there seems to be a bug when activating “Only logged in users may report comments” in the Discussion Dettings.

    Not sure whether the conflict is when the setting “Users must be registered and logged in to comment” is also set.

    I thought it would activate extra security activating the “Only logged in users may report comments” but it caused the web site to crash.

    Have reloaded the plugin and amended the code so the checkbox does not display in the Discussion Settings to ensure it is not accidentally activated and crashes the website again.

    PS have also added my voice to another post and would be great if this could work with bbpress.

  • I had exactly the same problem. This is the second plugin I’ve tried for reporting comments and both killed my website.

    Hi Stoby,
    continued to have problems so looked at another plugin which you seem to have looked at as well. The Safe Report plugin has been stable on my website and all seems to be working well. Not sure why it has crashed your site but I am on the latest version of WordPress so may be worth upgrading if you’re not.
