Reporting Websites for Bugs

  • Hello, I run a website, which I can edit from college with WordPress, some of my friends have joined the website and help me run it, however, there are one or two people who are likely jealous of my site, who aren’t really my friends, and they keep threatening to go on to WordPress and use the Report Bugs form, to say that my website has a virus, however, I have scanned it and there are none. My question is, if this bug report gets received will my website be suspended or just scanned?

  • I take it you have a blog at wordpress.com?
    If so, they deal with this junk all of the time. No one gets suspended unless they violate the TOS.
    However, you can ask at their forums

    Actually I have one from www.ads-software.com, I installed it on my own domain.

    The same still applies. If they report your website has a virus on it to www.ads-software.com, no on here will be bothered and will very likely just ignore the e-mail.

    If they report it to your webhost however, there is a chance the webhost will look at it first but I doubt your website will suspend you just become someone reported it has a virus without looking into it.
