Reports delivered only when page is visited

We’re testing this plugin with a restaurant site and find that reports only deliver when the page is visited therefore the reports come in at random times.

We think this is because WordPress’ wp-cron jobs are designed to activate only when the page is loaded. Therefore sales reports aren’t sent on time.

Might you have suggestions for connecting a bone fide Linux cron job to activate delivery of sales reports at the same time daily?
