Repost option to social media instead of blog

    Is there any way to set this up where posts are recycled, but instead of posting to the website certain categories can bypass posting to the site and allow social media plugins to disseminate the post instead of posting to the actual site?

    I have many categories on my site and if I were to allow for all posts to recycle, one of the categories would post to my rss feed, which would mess up the timeline for what the followers see/hear.

    Hopefully, this makes sense.

    I was using NextScripts for this, but their API for Facebook and Linkedin is broken and it keeps locking me out. I am looking for an alternative. I have used your plugin for years, and love it, but I was hoping to see if there is this extra function that I could use and bypass Nextscript altogether.

    APS can recycle the posts, but social media plugins handle pushing it to sites based on WordPress hooks firing when a post is published.

    I believe you are asking how to re-share posts to social media without recycling the post on the actual site. For that you would need to write some custom code.

    Also, I *believe* NextScripts sets a custom meta field on a post once it’s shared, so that it is not shared again. That would have to be cleared in order to share it again.
