Request: Auto excerpt plugin that detects images

I would love a plugin that reads the first x words of a post and uses this as an excerpt (I know there are plenty of widgets that do this already), but then pulls out the first image used in the post and displays it (you would have to set up a template with placeholders or something)

Basically the end result would be an index page that looks like https://thereticule.com/ but whereby nothing would need to be written into the excerpt box.

Anybody know of anything?
