Great plugin. Already helping enormously with our web form spam – thank you!

    1. However – it should be possible surely to block exact words? Example: if I add ‘seo’ to my banned list, anyone typing in ‘gaseous’ will be blocked? Hence, in general one has to be very careful when choosing words to block. Are you guys able to apply a more super explicit rule to fix this issue?
    2. To be able to check for (and contact) false positives (incorrectly banned messages from a form), are you able to update the plugin so that the whole message including other fields (& especially the email address) are shown in the generated log?
    3. It would be great to be able to change the location of the log file in addition to its name) . ‘wp-content’ is not necessarily the best place for it.
    4. Nevertheless, thank you for a great plugin :o)

Hello, and thank you for your suggestions.

    1. Yes, unfortunately if you add the word ‘seo’ and the message has these letters in a word it will be blocked. We recommend using two- or three-word phrases to avoid this.
    2. No 2 and 3 we’re already working on it to provide more options in our next update.

    Thanks,

Many thanks for getting back to me on this.

I thought I had found a workaround for the ‘SEO’ issue:

I tried adding e.g.: “SEO ,” (with a trailing space after the word). Just given it a test and in this example the word “gaseous” is still marked as spam. Heyho, it was worth a try.

Glad to hear other things are in the pipeline.

    All best

    Al
