im haveing the same bug as here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/request-button-does-not-work/

“I’ve created a user account and assigned a Patron ID to it. Using that account, I could see the Request button beside the books, when holdbutton value is set to true.

But I can seem to make it work. When I click it, nothing happens. The book doesn’t go Hold in the Dashboard. while inspecting the Resources, there was an error. It said: “ReferenceError: Can’t find variable: jQuery” and it referred to the line 40 in Scripts/front.js. Hope this clears anything for you.”

i have more info when i click on the button i get this extra error:

Uncaught ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined
        at PlaceHold (front.js?ver=3.5.3:12)
        at HTMLInputElement.onclick (?searchby=title&searchbox&weblib_orderby=barcode&weblib_order=ASC&barcode=0000000000000002:113)
    PlaceHold @ front.js?ver=3.5.3:12
    onclick @ ?searchby=title&searchbox&weblib_orderby=barcode&weblib_order=ASC&barcode=0000000000000002:113

    here is a screenshot:

also, i have no errors on my Apache log i have tested the button on chrome browser and Microsoft Edge. i also tested by changing permalink setting.

    Here is my setup info:

    OS: ?Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS?
Product: Plesk Onyx 17.8.11 Update #52
    PHP version: 7.1.28

seem to have this only happening when using the default WordPress theme: Twenty Nineteen

Hmmm… Sounds like the default WordPress theme (Twenty Nineteen) is causing something odd to happen with loading the jQuery code…

    (@robertpheller)

Ok, it looks like my code is not queuing up a load of jQuery and I have been getting away with that becuase most themes are already loading jQuery. Thedefault theme does not seem to load jQuery…

I just pushed a new version which should load jQuery if it not otherwise being loaded.

Same Error on Avada WordPress Theme.
How can i solve? Support of mailup not help me.

I can’t seem to find the Avada WordPress Theme to test with. Where is it?

I found a theme named Avata, and the request buttom works just fine with it (using the current version of WebLibrarian).

    caezrs:

I cannot replicate your problem on my server(server os CentOS 6, PHP 7.1, WP 5.2.2, Weblibrarian 3.5.5).

What server os are you using? What version?
What version of PHP, WordPress, and Weblibrarian do you have installed on your server? Does the browser you are using support JavaScript? Is JavaScript enabled? Are Cookies enabled?
