Request: follow-up by role

    Hi There,

    I love the follow-up option in Newsletter. But wouldn’t it be a great idea to serve different messages to different users?

    For example, I run a website where students and teachers can register an account. I would like to give them several follow-up mails to highlight what they can do. But what they can do, depends on if they have a students of teacher account. So I would like to send a mail to role=teacher to tell them they can generate tests for there students, while sending role=student a mail to inform them that they can practice.

    In the way the module is set-up now, I guess it wouldn’t be that hard to select for every message to which roles they should be send?

    Uhm, as per design the module cannot simply, in my opinion, used on a per role basis. The emails are in a sequence, it make no senso to send an email to a role and another to another role.

    To say the truth I started to code a more complete autoresponder, where more than a sequence can be setup (like if you have a variable number of follow up modules), but it is still uncomplete…

    Thanks for you quick reply! Since we can expect a new auto responder at some point in time, let’s mark this topic as solved and just wait until you created another beautiful piece of scripting. Keep up the good work!
