I’m currently working on a new version that will allow you to disable/enable plugins based off of the user agent string of the browser.

I have just released version 3.1 It adds the ability to target specific browsers. Just add a list of user agent strings on the settings page and enable Selective Mobile Plugin Loading. They don’t have to be mobile browsers. You could even target google if you wanted to.

Just upgraded to the new version …

Right now, our website with PO works well on both mobile and desktop, on all browsers.

What are the benefits of this new feature ? Thanks

You can use it to present different plugins based on the type of browser. So you can go to a site like https://zytrax.com/tech/web/mobile_ids.html and then just copy and paste the list of strings into the Mobile User Agents text area on the settings page. Then anyone visiting your site with those browsers will be presented with the plugins you have enabled in the mobile column. By default you wont have any browser strings in the text area so it will have no effect on any visitors. When you are entering the strings each browser string must be on a separate line. You could also use it to target google if you wanted to present google with a different set of plugins. It’s basically a regex match on the user agent string presented by the browser. A few people have been asking for this functionality.

Thanks, Jeff, nice to know even if I won’t use it at the moment as it will mean more things to manage …

    Hi Jeff

Thanks a lot for this new feature. Thanks for the effort You are putting on this plugin, it really has increased a lot the performance of my site, I have 77 active plugins and a lot of them just for one or two pages and with Your plugin now I can selective active them.

    Really, thanks a lot!
