    Verdi,

    Negative.

You can “trick” Elegant Themes into thinking it needs an update by down-bumping the version in the style.css file.

Sometimes there are other variables, but it’s Elegant Themes, so who knows.

The fact that it worked with Gravity Forms when it previously didn’t looks promising.

I also did a quick 4 minute video on how automatic updates work. I have yet to see it work with third-party themes, but that’s simply because I don’t have a license for any.

    Hi Ronald,

Just watched the video, well done!

Also, I have a site that that just doesn’t update. Not even 15 minutes after clicking “Force Updates”. Could this be an interesting case for you? If so, would you like a temporary login to check things out?

Let me know if I can help.

Ps. the site only has six plugins, but it’s not updating them or WP core at all. Strange.

Never mind my last message. Turns out, a plugin added a line to the wp-config file that prevented all updates. It’s gone, and the new “Force Updates”-function works perfectly.

I’ll still keep this paged pinned for when a new ET update come along, so I can give you feedback on that.

Many thanks for adding the function!

Finally got around to test if ET Themes get updated. Sadly, this is not the case. Although I’m really happy with “Force Updates” button!

If even I can test a new version that might be able to update ET Themes, please let me know. I’ll gladly help.

Thank you for your work so far. It’s the best auto updater around. Love the new interface.

Verdi, best thing for us now is to get the elegant themes team to give us a temp license so we can figure this out.

I replied using the contact form on your site. I’d like to help out.
