Post to/from Category

  • Would be nice if we could have a plugin or function which allows us to open a category from front-end and make a new post from there with the categories auto selected.

    My blog has tons of categories and it’s a royal pain to locate which category a new post belongs to all the time, when it’s so much easier to just select the category from front-end.

    Maybe you should look for a plugin that lets you clone a post and then make changes to those post components you need to be different (eg title, content, image, etc). To be honest, I haven’t used any, so I cannot make a recommendation, but I’m sure you’ll easily locate one in the plugin repository.

    i can duplicate post and all that’s already available but i’d rather be able to select a post to selection of a category from front-end, i have far too many post to flip through them all just to find which one to clone.

    I see. Yeah, duplicating posts certainly involves slightly more work than what you suggested.
