Sorry about that, I had to make that change though.
The defuse.txt and secret.txt file are absolutely vital for proper functionality, without them nothing works. I thought about just removing this whole encryption feature and storing the licenses in plain text (un-encrypted) but that’s too much of a security risk.
These two files were originally stored inside the plugin folder itself. The only problem with this is that after every plugin update you would have to copy your backup files into the plugin folder because WordPress plugin udpates delete the entire folder and then redownload the plugin, causing your files to get lost.
I fixed this issue by moving them outside the plugin folder, into the wp-contents/uploads/lmfwc-files folder. Nevertheless, keep those two files backed up, just in case.
