We are having an issue with the ‘Request Unlock’ feature. Once we enter in the email address to have the unlock request sent to the page reloads to ‘wp-login.php’ and we are getting a ‘No Data Received’ error with no further indication as to what is happening. We have the ‘Rename Login Page’ feature enabled as well.

We are hosted at WPEngine, which runs off nginx servers. The feature works great on our staging environment at the same host, but on production it doesn’t work at all. The only difference between the two configurations is cache. The staging site is not cached at all and it works great there.

Any idea what might be happening? Is the cache on our production environment messing with this? I am willing to chat with someone and give specifics about our website, but would prefer to do that in private or through email.

Hi have you reported this issue with the WPEngine developers?

    Thank you for your response,

Yes I spoke with WPEngine Developers for several hours attempting to fix the issue. We have uncached the entire renamed login page URL, anything to do with logging into WP, and anything to do with AIOWPS in hopes that it would replicate our staging environment but did not have any luck with getting it to work.

The WPEngine Developers told me they were out of ideas and I should consult with the plugin developers to see if they had any ideas. It’s quite frustrating it works great on our staging environment but not at all on our production, especially because they are identical in terms of code, just have caching differences.

I do have a full chat transcript between the WPE developers and myself that goes into further details with what we’ve attempted if that’s something you would like to see. That would have to be sent via email though, because it contains sensitive information I would not want to put on a public site.

    Hey TyB!

To me it sounds like the plugin is triggering WP Engine’s login protection. Reach out to them and ask them to disable it temporarily so you can test.
