    I added the given IP to the restrictions but keep getting

    Error:?Your Google API Key is not valid for this request and permission is denied. Please check your Google?API Key.

    and

    Should I not restrict it?

    @ramzii Have you enabled Places API? Once enabled, the API can be restricted to this API along with your web server’s IP (that is an IP, not a referrer URL) .

    Please go to the Advanced tab and Clear Cache to retry the API request.

    If you check the Retrieved Data it will offer further clues as to the error once this is changed.
