REQUESTING LOST FILES

  • Hello,

    I was working with my hosting company on my new www.ads-software.com site and it looks like my files weren’t linked correctly. I would like to see if www.ads-software.com can please send me my old files so I can set up my website properly. My www.ads-software.com website was set up at wp.rachelcabakoff.org and now I can’t even log into it (I had to create a new www.ads-software.com login to post on here). I was trying to link it to my rachelcabakoff.com domain name. I really appreciate the help! This has been super frustrating.

    www.ads-software.com does not have your files — it supplies software but does not host your website. Where was your old site located?

    Right, I realize that. I was building my website on wp.rachelcabakoff.com. When I can GoDaddy transfer my domain (rachelcabakoff.com) to ^^^, it was not fully transferred. If you go to rachelcabakoff.com is not fully complete. Everything is stacked and in basic HTML format. GoDaddy told me I had to contact www.ads-software.com to retrieve a backup file of my wp.rachelcabakoff.com site….

    Again, www.ads-software.com does not have your files and never has.

    Your site is messed up because it seems to be asking for files from wp.rachelcabakoff.com. There is no DNS record for that domain.

    But that’s the site my www.ads-software.com site was made on….I had GoDaddy transfer my domain name to that site and now everything is in simple HTML format…so what does that mean?

    It means you need to create a dns record for wp.rachelcabakoff.com or change all references from wp.rachelcabakoff.com to just rachelcabakoff.com

    use the plugin ‘better search and replace’ to do that.

    Hi Steve,

    Since I can’t even login into my old www.ads-software.com site, where should I install the plugin? I had to create a new www.ads-software.com login to simply post on this forum…..I have no database to backup at all.

    Install it on the site that you’re having the problems with, https://rachelcabakoff.com/ . Again, www.ads-software.com has nothing to do with your site!
