• About a month ago now I finally combined the power of WordPress with my static PHP site. It was a fairly smooth transition thanks to Chris Coyier over at CSS-Tricks.com. With his three-part series on “Designing for WordPress” I was able to create my own custom theme. I am happy with the layout and have been tweaking the posts layout here and there, but I would love to get feedback from others about how they feel.

So please, I welcome your constructive criticism. I believe that nothing good can grow without the help of others. Thanks in advance to those who use this service as it’s meant to be.

  • Great site! I particularly like your use of colors and images in your blog.

Thank you for the kind words. My goal is to really step up my efforts on blogging.

Nice design. I agree that the colors in the header are quite good. It feels very … gentle. Like a breeze.

I’d look at contrast in the type overall, its a bit light, and maybe the line-height on the body text.

@mcpatriot – hmm, I’ll have to think about the type color. Are you using windows? I know IE always renders a lighter color for some odd reason to me. But the body text line-height is a good idea. Thanks.

Nice job. Nothing there that doesn’t serve a purpose.

@mcpatriot – I adjusted the line height and darkened the color of the body text. I think it looks better. Thanks again.

Nice, fairly easy to read and simple design makes this easy on the eyes… something lacking in quite a few blogs these days. Nice colour scheme especially.

Looks very good, i love how your just drawn into the content. Fix the nav, the text is so small where “Home” is.

@fernbyfilms – Thank you. I appreciate the comments.

@indestiny – thank you so much. I am leaving the text size the same though. It was my choice to set the font size smaller because I didn’t want them to distract the user.
