    I am getting this error when trying to go to my site. Any ideas on how to resolve?

    Warning: require_once(/home/xxxxx/xxxxx.com/wp-content/plugins/tablepress/classes/class-wp_option.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/xxxxx/xxxxx.com/wp-content/plugins/tablepress/classes/class-tablepress.php on line 180

    Hi,

    thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

    This is a PHP error which indicates that something with the file permissions in your plugins folder is not right. My suggestion would be to delete the “tablepress” folder from the “wp-content/plugins/” directory and then re-install TablePress from a fresh download.

    if i do that, will i lose all my tables? i have a ton of them and i don’t want to lose them. Also, i am unable to get to the dashboard, so everything is through FTP

    Hi,

    no worries, your tables are stored in the database, not in files.
    So, deleting and replacing the tablepress folder will not cause any data loss.

    that worked….but now all of my pages throw a 404 error (probably a post for a different forum topic). Thanks for your help!

    Hi,

    good to hear that this helped!

    I have no idea where this 404 comes from now. I can not imagine that this is related to TablePress. The general support forums might be the best place to ask.
