required checkbox validation not working

    Hello,

    I have a contact form with a required checkbox but no matter if it is checked or not the required field error appears. i also tried with the class=”novalidate” but with no effect. I also updated on 5.7.2. Could you please have a look, the form can be found at the bottom of this page https://schirmbeckhartmann.agency/

    What other plugins and theme do you use on the site?

    custom build theme, checked already with twentytwentytwo same issue.

    plugins: wpml, yoast pro, acf pro, boorlabs cookie, wps hide login, svg support, spotlight – social media feeds, password protect wordpress lite, ithemes security, hotjar, honeypot for contact form 7, duplicator, duplicate page, classic editor, backwpup

    Deactivated all plugins, even honeypot for contact form 7 and put this form into a new test page with the twentytwentytwo theme and the error is still there.

    got it the validation not supports checkboxes without value
