Required Drop Down Menu defaulting to first value

    Hi,

    I have the type set to select and 9 choices in the drop down menu.

    The placeholder text is not being displayed and the first choice in the drop down menu (option value 1) is defaulting to being selected.

    I have tried this with the default value set to 0 and blank and neither setting works.

    How can i have the placeholder text displayed instead of a drop down choice?

    Inorder to achieve your requirement, you need to make the first option blank and provide placeholder text as shown in the below screen-shot:

    The Option Value is used to store values in the database and Option Text is used to display the details in the drop-down. Please note that the option value should be unique.

    Note: Please confirm that you are using the latest version of our plugin.
