required field file* dont work anymore

Hello everyone

Until now, my form always included [file* profilepicture limit:5000000 filetypes:png|jpg|jpeg] so that a file had to be submitted. For a few days now, however, it is no longer a required field and the form can also be sent without a file.

As far as I can tell, nothing has changed on my site (no other plugins have been installed) and it has always worked fine for the last 2 years.

Could it be that file* no longer works correctly with the latest update 5.9 a few days ago? Can anyone replicate the error on their site?
