How can I set required fields and mark them on the front end? I’m using the Strong Testimonials plugin and would like the forms to match in appearance and function.

    Thanks,
    Paul.

    Hi Paul,

My plugin uses theme style for input fields and submit button. So if the Strong Testimonials plugin also uses theme styling, it should look similar.

Otherwise you should use the custom CSS feature in Customizer to add custom style.

The required * tag should be hardcoded in the shortcode files of my plugin. But I do not recommend hardcoding this, in case of plugin updates.

Sorry for the late reply. I get email notifications to an address I don’t look at often so I missed the reply. I just want to show required fields with an * before the form is submitted. Obviously I don’t want to make a change that might cause a problem with plugin updates.

    Thanks,
    Paul.

    Hi Paul,

Unfortunately there’s no way to add this without changing plugin files. Maybe another plugin such as Contact form 7 would suit you better.

Ok, I’ll use a different plugin.

    Thanks.
