Required minimum number of posts stops authors from appearing

  • I am trying to only show authors who have at least 1 post, but when I set the value to 1 I don’t get any authors appearing.

    One oddity about this is I do get one author who’s role is Editor, but when I set the role to Author I don’t see any of the authors who have posts.

    If I remove the value from Required minimum number of posts I see all the authors with zero posts, but none with more than one, apart from the author who is Editor.

    Any idea what I am doing wrong?

    Are you using the shortcode, widget or block?

    I will have a look at this ASAP

    Hi Paul,

    I am using the widget. Is it worth trying the shortcode instead?

    Same issue if I use the following shortcode on a page:

    [authoravatars roles=author,editor avatar_size=64 min_post_count=1 show_name=true]

    Not sure why but this doesn’t work if in a text widget is in a sidebar, nothing gets displayed at all. I tried [authoravatars roles=author] and still nothing.

    I have also tried adding the users I want to show to the whitelist at the same time adding all roles, and they still didn’t show up.

    I had a look at this and seems to be working
    Note: this is only working on POSTs, not pages or custom post types

    try showing the no of posts so you can see what is going on

    you would need to use filter to apply to those
