Required setting for prior WebP images from third party plugins?

    I have been running the server with EWWW IO for months, and I have plenty of WebP images created by the plugin.

    Now that with ‘Modern Image Formats’, w/ AVIF option, I guess I do not need the plugin’s support anymore. I am going to de-activate the plugin, but wonder if ‘Modern Image Formats’ will serve earlier WebP images to website visitors.

    I will remove all WebP images and regenerate AVIF.

    @keithkhl Good question with regards existing images. The plugin will only generate a WebP or AVIF version of newly images uploaded.

    There is an open GitHub issue with regards to being able to generated AVIF or WebP versions for existing images within the plugin. You’ll find that below. Feel free to chime in or subscribe to that issue, to be alerted with any updates:
