Requirements for my vps to successfully use the plugin.

    Sorry for the inconvenience, but for myself I could not solve the problem.

    I have a VPS at OVH and use webmin and Virtualmin, and I’m setting myself. In install a wordpress site and has this plugin. And the option to have IPN enabled the site displays mistake to 500.

    However, in a hosting with cPanel the site works perfectly with this option enabled IPN plugin.

    I would like to know which server level requirements required by this plugin to work with the IPN option.

    The plugin IPN feature just activates a listener function so not sure why it returns a 500 error.

    Have you run the IPN simulator? It’s possible your VPS is blocking access to PayPal which means it can’t get to the listener function.

    Apart from that I can’t help more as I no nothing about VPS settings.
