• Great comment system, and yes, I have tested it. However, it requires the user to download another plug-in to get the social log-in features. I found this as a terrible move because these other plug-ins could go out of commission at any day, and should that happen, this comment plug-in would be useless.

  • Hey Vames,

Just wanted to thank you for weighing in on the problems I was having with this plugin. I kept trying to trouble shoot issues with this plugin and with the Super Socializer I installed at the same time. Super Socializer seemed pretty good at first but stopped sharing to Facebook after two weeks. I tried FB debugger to scrape the URLs, created a new FB API key, and updated the plugin before finally giving up. I didn’t contact the SS support team so maybe they would have been able to help, but since the SS plugin was lacking other features I wanted, I simply deleted it today and reinstalled an upgraded free version of what I was using before: Ultimate Social Media PLUS. It’s perfect for my needs!

That brings us back to wpDiscuz. Since the entire reason I downloaded wpDiscuz was to have a comment plugin with an integrated social login feature for FB, Twitter, and WordPress and my WordPress users couldn’t log in with wpDiscuz, I also deleted wpDiscuz today. As per your suggestion, I’m now using the comment feature on Jetpack, though I’m still considering your other suggestion about Disqus.

The big bummer? The comments folks left on my blog while I had wpDiscuz installed were deleted when I removed the plugin. It was my understanding they weren’t supposed to do that. Very disappointing. I get so few comments, I treasure them like GOLD, I tell ya.

    Anyway, thanks again, Vames.

    Hi carpebean,
We’re really sorry to hear that Super Socializer caused FB issues on your website. Probably it was API configuration issue. There are many other very popular plugins which may be used as well.
    For example these two:

And by the way, we’ve already started to work on wpDiscuz built-in social login, I’ll update this topic once it’s done.
