• Was good at one stage, but frustrating how it has one security issue after another needing to patched, and the other bugs needing to be patched too. For the last 3 days there have been daily updates required, so we need to update, test on the staging site, then update the live site, find another bug that the update to fix a different bug has caused, it’s becoming a waste of time. The developers need to test is properly properly, get their development right, roll out an update and then let people enjoy their plugin for a while without having to update every single day. It’s a waste of our time.

Hi @adamwpmp, ?Iain here, the product manager for ACF over at WP Engine.

I can appreciate the frustration you feel after testing multiple plugin updates in a short space of time. With a plugin like ACF with a sizeable install base, there are often edge cases which we cannot find in testing, despite our best efforts. We would prefer to patch these bugs for our affected users as soon as possible.

When it comes to security, this is a problem faced by all web software, but we are committed to fixing issues as we find them to be proactive in protecting our users.
