Resend Activation Mail

Hello, when trying to get the activation mails to be automatically resent after their expiration I stumbled upon this guide Resend the Account Email Confirmation notification with WP Cronjob – Ultimate Member, which seems to cover an older/different version as mine since the expiration time in the guide is defined in seconds while mine wants days.

However when looking up the active cron schedules via WP Control, I don’t see a cron job of um for activation mail resending where I can alter the interval. How can I access or activate it? For my use case the default daily resend span would be sufficient.
