• Hi Erik,

A continuation of this topic: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/does-resend-email-actually-works/#post-17345498

So, I got an email marked as spam in the Stats for CF7 Antispam list on the Dashboard widget. After I clicked on the email link that was marked as spam, I clicked “Not spam” in the sidebar widget, then on Update.

Then I found the email back in Flamingo under “Inbound messages”.

The form and Meta fields are still there. Is that the form you were looking for? This form is still there.

After I clicked on the Flamingo “Inbound messages” link in the sidebar, I went to a page where I can click “Resend Email”. When I click that button, the email is sent to the website admin’s email address.

Ah thank you for explaining in detail, i’ll take a look asap.
As I said in the previous post, flamingo does not save the recipient’s email and I have to retrieve it in a somewhat creative way…

    > Is that the form you were looking for?
yep and additionally would be cool to know if you are using the [admin_mail] or simply a real email address (eg. [email protected])

ps. thanks for reporting out the issue, it is important that users do this because even though I use thisp plugin on a dozen of websites, I still don’t have yet the tests to be mathematically sure that everything works perfectly!

I am using simply a real email address, Erik.

I could send you screenshots if you need, but then I need an email address.

No there’s no need, it was just to see what the problem was, I’ll try to fix it shortly in a ‘patch’ version that fixes this issue (and the fact that the plugin is deactivated to switch to the new cf7 integration system).
Sorry about this I hope to solve it soon ??

I found the mistake (that applies also to 0.6.2) and should fixed in this way in order to send the email to the right recipient. Sorry for that, but if you can make this change and confirm that it works I would appreciate it!

Thank you Erik. I will be testing next week a lot so I’ll probably know soon.

Sorry, Erik, but this is not working on my side yet. When I press Resent when the email is Not Spam, the email will resend but to the website admin email address. Also the email only contains the hash code of the last attachment only… Like this: 8ef63c40a8b83baa99efdbcf96a7a7a3

Yes you are right, i will try to do something asap for this. Unfortunately the email is not saved in flamingo and has to be retrieved in a strange way (reloading the form it was sent from).

Additionally it is as you say, and attachments are not saved by Flamingo (unless you use custom scripts and/or plugins). Maybe just make this as a feature request to @takayukister, if it is not too complicated or exposes to major security problems will certainly include it

Maybe just make this as a feature request to?@takayukister

I was planning to until I saw this (no-)response. Totally discouraged me. https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/flamingo-file-upload-and-filenames/

Imagine being a single developer and managing several plugins one of which is the most installed of the whole WordPress. i think it is slightly demanding and sometimes, when the answer would need a very long explanation you are forced to gloss over it… In addition, exactly the thing about saving attachments has been a problem for cf7 in the past, is not something to be taken superficially.

Making a feature request doesn’t hurt, I think he reads everything and will make his assessments

    (@wendihihihi)

Yes, that’s exactly what I meant. He’s probably too busy so I don’t want to bother him with something that has been asked in the past.

I limit attachment upload sizes, but if an average message is about 1Mb because of the attachments, my server space will be zero within a month… I don’t know if it’s worth saving all those attachments. In that case, deleting them after a week would be great.

I’m sorry but for this I can’t help you because it is outside the context of antispam ??. I can point something i saw on stackoverflow or a plugin for WordPress, but nothing i have tested and, in addition, I think you will have already seen them too…

I’ll think about it, if I come up with a possible solution I’ll let you know and hopefully the ping will serve to add this functionality natively in flamingo

No problem, Erik. I hardly use it. I just wanted to report it. I hardly have false positives anymore. But it would be interesting if it’s possible to resend an email with an attachment.

I keep the discussion open–but without the files being saved by flamingo I can do little
