Reset Admin Password Help

When I try to reset my password by entering user name, message says it does not exist. When I try using email address, it says that address does not exist. Though I am sent at least 50 emails from WP daily requesting me to moderate new comments to my blog (all are spam and I would like to mark them as such). Automatic emailer password is not accepted. phpMyAdmin and other instructions on sticky post have too many warnings for me to feel comfortable trying. But I guess I may have to, because if I can’t admin the blog, I may as well quit it. Any help out there?
