reset “Awaiting E-mail Confirmation’

I have a user in the status “Awaiting E-mail Confirmation” but I never received the confirmation email. I receive a variety of other emails out of the system via the SMPT plugin using SendGrid, so it isn’t an issue of sending emails. Is there some way to reset this status or to re-send the this email?? The user appears to be dead until this can be resolved. Deleting users in this state isn’t really an option…
