Reset Compliments count to zero

Hello mikee1001, The compliments count is based on the number of compliments the user has at the moment on compliments page. Unlike notifications, compliments also can be viewed by other users. So they need to know how many compliments the user have.
If we reset the coutnter everytime the user read a compliment, the counter might make sense for the current user, but not for other users. The only way you can reset the counter to zero is by deleting the compliments.

Hi, I’m using this feature on a dating website, and have set the privacy level so that only the user can see his/her compliments. Would there be a way to reset the counter once the compliments page has been viewed, or the compliments read, as opposed to requiring the compliments to be deleted?

Your case makes sense. But its not simple as it seems. You need to understand the complications. As of now we are just counting the number of compliments we have in the table for the particular user and display the count on the webpage. So this is simple.

But for your case, its different. Everytime, a user read the compliment or delete the compliment we have to modify the counter and store it somewhere.

I have some high priority tasks at the moment. But don’t worry. i’ll work on this feature and add it in the next version. But please note. It might take some time. If this is urgent, you should hire someone. Sorry about that
