Reset Issues

    Hi,

    I have a multisite network and applied a bunch of capability changes to the Editor role network wide.

    I tried undoing/restoring to the default Editor capabilities, with apply globally checkbox checked (to change it for all sites) and hit the Reset button but it only applies it for that single site.

    Also, after hitting the Reset button, the Custom capabilities section with the checkboxes disappear. Disabling, renabling the plugin as well as explicitly changing capabilities for Editor globally again (from another subsite) does not make it reappear.

    Thanks for any help you can provide.

    Hi,

    Yes, ‘Reset’ button works for the current site only. Using it restore WP capabilities list to its clean state, as just after installation of WP finished. Thus, all custom or plugins created capabilities disappears. Manually added caps should be recreated after that, some plugins should be reactivated to restore there caps too.
    In order apply fresh caps after reset to the all network, turn on/off temporarily one of caps for any role, turn on ‘Apply to All Sites’ checkbox and click on ‘Update’ button.
