  • The link you posted offers serveral suggestions. If you don’t have access to the site via FTP or PHPmyAdmin contact your hosting provider they can help you reset it.

I not have PHP access and I tried all the FTP ways and none of them worked. MY hosting provider doesn’t provide blog help after the set up.
It sounds like I’m SOL here. ?? Thanks.

Okay, I finally got the emergency.php file to work (wouldn’t work on firefox only safari) and it said my password was reset but I can’t log in with the new password.

You can reset the information in the database.

I’m only able to access the FTP files. I haven’t seen any data base there. Where would it be located? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I’m not very savvy here. ?? Thanks!

Your database is where your host is. You need to sign into your hosted account (same info you used to set up ftp).

Mmm… it’s through Clickbooq and there’s no access to any database there. I guess I’m stuck. I was able to link my wordpress blog to my flickr account using the new password, but I can’t log in to wordpress. I deleted my cookies and cache as well.

You have to have a database. Read the information in your wp-config.php file. It also will tell you where the database is, the password, etc.

I’ll email Clickbooq and see if they can help any. The address listed for the database host in the wp-config.php file brings me to my webmail log in.

Thanks so much for your help and time! I really appreciate it.

So Clickbooq can’t give me access to the database for security reasons. They changed my email address to my current one and sent a few password recovery to that email, which I never received. I checked my spam folder and nothing there as well. The part that is super confusing is that according to the emergency.php my password was changed but I can’t log on to the account with it. I am so confused as to what is going on.

They changed my email address to my current one and sent a few password recovery to that email, which I never received.

Ask them to resend. This is not a wp problem.

“You can also submit a support ticket, download our design templates, or search our online Knowledge Base to find the answers you’re looking for. We pride ourselves on fast, knowledgeable support, so your questions are answered quickly and clearly.”

If they won’t even give you access to your own data base you need to find a new host. In the interim, if that is not feasible, you need to pester them to get the correct email and password. You are the customer, escalate. You are paying 3-5 times what other people pay for hosting.

The part that is super confusing is that according to the emergency.php my password was changed but I can’t log on to the account with it.

If Click changed your password then this would not work right? You need to know the password.

    What is your url?
