Reset password link issue

  • Hi,

    I am having an issue with reset password links. The email sent is fine and there is a link as well but when the member clicks on the link to rest the password gets an error or sometimes link is expired.

    An error message came up saying “you have reached a reset your password limit” (or something along the lines of this) and Please contact support?

    Issue is probably not with your plugin but with caching used so please can you help me with file path [The issue is the initial file path is saved with initial state of the key.] to add to exclusion list.

    Hi @rdsouza,

    What version of the Ultimate member you have installed on your site?
    You can disable or reset “Password limit” in Ultimate member -> Settings -> Access -> Other section.

    Version is 2.0.43

    Please understand, I do not want to disable password reset option for members.

    Even if a member tries to change password the first time it gives that issue. Issue is neither in the plugin nor wordpress, seems like it is caching issue. Hence, I need the path [initial file path where initial state of the key is saved] where these keys are stored by ultimate member so i exclude it from caching permanently.

    I am experiencing the same issue.
    Users cannot reset their own passwords.
    Can only be reset by the Admin User.
