Reset Password REALLY does not work

Hello bright people,

I believe I have quite the challenge for you because no one seems to understand why we have this issue (we have checked over 100 blogs and support tikctes and tried everything. We seem to have the classical lost-password not working however none of the fixes work and it is actually a bit different than what most people have. Here is the structure ticked below. Thank you for your help!

Issue:

We have something we have never seen happen to ONE of our website (this is a multisite with main being tedjordan.org, and 3 other websites, blog.* for the blog, payment.* for the payment, courses.* for the LMS). The reset password and set password options (by Woocom) works perfectly on main and courses BUT not on payment. It typically loops: reset password -> I input the email -> receives the email -> click and get redirected to reset password. Here are some very weird observations :

Observations:
-Disabled all the plugins after a backup. Something interesting happen when you deactivate or activate a pluggin. It goes to the next steps of the reset password process depending on which link you clik. For exemple, let’s say I deactivate any pluggin and click on the reset link I received by mail. Then the my-account page will always load the reset password (which will do nothing if you try ti change the password I think) page. If you click on reset password (after deactivating or activating any pluggin) from the base my-acocunt page, you will be stuck on the email address input to reset password.
– It is indeed not a theme issue
– caching, we have added the ajax functions into the exclusions lists of WP engine, the issue is not there.
– If you remove the lost-password endpoint (woocom – settings -advanced – endpoints – remove lost-password and leave empty). The page is not found. It should however revert back to normal WP login. WP engine support was able to force the WP by putting”wp-login-phpactionlostpassword”, see screenshot.
– I checked and the vast majority of woocom settings are the same on payment and on course. Would be worth it to see if you have added any code to some of the woocom php file or anything

Troobleshooting

IMPORTANT!!!! What I tested with WP engine support, so please don’t mention these 3 things, we have extensively excluded these already:

1. Deactivating all the pluggins
2. Changing Theme
3. Deactivating WP engine caching
4. Tried on different computers, countries, users and devices
