Hi! After researching several gallery-lightbox plugins, I have decided to use this one, which is the same I choosed several years ago, so thank you for keeping on with your plugin and congrats for still being at the top!

But I just found that “Reset to default” is not working. I have made some changes in Dashboard>Simply Gallery>Block Presets>Masonry Block>Share Bar settings (for example, I have only enabled “Show copy link”)>Save as global preset.

Then I create a masonry gallery, load some images. Then change the “Share Bar Settings” just for Facebook, for example. Save the gallery.

Then I exit to Dashboard again (just to make a refresh) and go to Simply Gallery>Galleries and edit the gallery again. The share is just for facebook, ok, but when I press “Reset to default” it enables all the sharing options (not just the “Show copy link”).

I am working with your 3.1.3 version, WordPress 6.2.2 and Twenty Twenty-Three theme. Also have Wordfence, but I whitelisted my IP, just in case.

I have also tried the Throubleshooting mode (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/) with only your plugin activated, but it didn’t work. I have no cache plugins right now cause I am making changes on the website.

    Thank you!

    Hello,

The global preset and the default settings are completely different settings.

The reset button ( Reset to default … ) is needed only to save the user, after he has changed everything and everything has stopped working – a “lifeline”.

If you want to use the settings that you have prepared in advance, then you need to apply the global settings ( Global Preset Priority ) that you first configured to the gallery (Dashboard>Simply Gallery>Block Presets>Masonry Block).

Hi! Thank you for your quick answer. Now it is clear!

I haven’t noticed that I can enable “Global settings priority” and still change some settings. That’s great!

a little different, when you activate the priority of the global settings (switch), then the gallery will obey the settings from the dashboard (Dashboard>Simply Gallery>Block Presets>Masonry Block). But you can temporarily turn on the global settings switch, then change some settings for this gallery and then turn off the global settings priority. Then you will get a unique gallery setting, but you used the Global preset as a base to start with.

Perhaps my explanation will seem not entirely clear, but training is needed here. In short, when you turn on the Priority of global settings, further manipulations in the settings of the block will not lead to anything (these changes will be ignored by the gallery).

Oh, I thought that, when you create a new gallery, the settings of the “Block presets” were assigned automatically, but no, the settings are the default settings, ok.

Can we know which ones are the default settings? Maybe in Dashboard>Simply Gallery>Blocks Presets could we find a two column comparison between what are the default (not changeable) and the Block Presets (changeable by the user)?

I leave here two more suggestions in case you find them interesting:

    1. Maybe a button for “Reset everything to default settings”, and not having to go section by section.
    2. In each section, a button for “reset just this section to global settings”, (same as the “reset to default” button is now in each section).

    Thank you!
