• On mobile Safari, the popups have content on the first click but then clicking back on them displays an empty popup. Inspecting the markup, the various .qtips created have content in .qtip-content initially, but when revisiting them, .qtip-content is an empty div.

It happens when an event popup has been viewed, and then a resize event occurs. All “viewed” popups have their content removed.

Removing the .qtip divs on resize doesn’t help – when they are regenerated, they have empty content again.

Happening on iPhone 6 (Safari), iPad, and Firefox on Mac.

Also just to be sure could you run through this: https://docs.simplecalendar.io/troubleshooting-theme-plugin-widget-conflicts/

I just want to make sure there are no conflicts coming from somewhere else that is causing it.

I confirmed it – all plugins deactivated, default 2016 theme, no widgets.

I can also confirm that is occurring.

My issues are more widespread though:

System: Custom theme, WordPress 4.5.2, Version 3.1.1. This is also occurring in your demo at https://demo.simplecalendar.io/grid-view/
Occurring on: Chrome, Safari, FF (mac), Mobile Safari.

On Desktop: Any time the browser window is resized (even a pixel…not relegated to breakpoints) some popup details don’t appear on rollover. You may want to click on quite a few of these…it seems almost random…some appear, some do not. Once again, on my own dev and your demo.

On Mobile: On a single touch, an event pops up correctly. If we touch a second event and then go back to the first, there is a fairly good chance the first will be blank.

Thank you for help with this –

    @nick

Here’s two screencaps w/code of whats happening before, and after resize:

    Before
    After

It looks like pretty much all the content has changed…even the ID of the qtip is different after resize…

Thank you for all the extra info. I have added an issue for this so we can take a look at it sometime.

    Hi Nick,
is it possible to give this issue a higher priority? I still use the old GCE Version 2.3. After clarification, I plan to switch to the new solution. Thanks for your support.

So just to clarify, this is still an issue on the latest version?

I agree. I use the version 3.1.2 on a separate test system (Windows 10 with Firefox and Edge). My findings fit perfectly to those of the members positivespacegr and msjoe.

Ok thanks for the confirmation. I have this marked down for us to look into.

Hi Nick, I’m back! I too am experiencing the same issue with the plugin on our site https://explorenorthcoast.net/event-calendar/ . The easiest way to see the problem is on a cell phone. Pull up the calendar and rotate it from landscape to portrait views and back again and everything looks fine – text for calendar items when in landscape view; dots when in portrait view. The problem becomes visible once you tap on a calendar entry. For example, tap on a calendar item while in landscape view. The item’s call out box appears with the item’s description as it should. Now, rotate the phone to the portrait view and the dot for the same event is visible, as it should be, but the call out box will be empty when you tap on the dot. When you rotate the phone back to landscape view, the listing for that calendar item disappears, but the date bar remains black.

Thanks again for all of your great work. It’s a wonderful plugin.

Thanks I added all that extra information to our GH issue.
