With the first two tiled galleries I created, it was really easy to directly resize images. Now I cannot help but I’m not able to find this feature again. How do I do it?

    Cheers,

    Hi there,

The link you provided is broken. Were you using the tiled gallery from the classic editor and now using the tiled gallery block?

If so, you can add the classic block, click add media, select your images, and create new gallery, you should have the features you had before. Here are the instructions:

Please let me know if this is what you were referring to.

    Thanks!

    My page is:

I’m using the block editor all the time, there I inserted some of “jetpack tiled gallery”. When doing so, with an easy drag-and-drop I could resize my images at the first three ones. This was so easy that I didn’t pay attention. With gallery #4 and 5 at the site, I could no longer find how it works. Does the jetpack tiled gallery have the feature to resize images within the block editor?

So I guess it’s not about the classic editor or WP’s standard gallery.

The Jetpack Tiled Gallery block has no option to manually size images, no. It sizes images dynamically based on how the gallery arranges them. At most you can have some control over images sizes by changing the gallery style, and number of columns in the gallery styles that give that option.

The Core gallery block does have an image size setting, but that’s a setting in the block sidebar and affects all images in the gallery at once. That also doesn’t have an option to size individual images by drag-and-drop.

Your galleries at https://shop.komponentenkontor-berlin.de/ were definitely made using the Jetpack tiled gallery block, but we have never offered a way to manually resize images in that gallery as you describe, not even in the classic editor version of this gallery.

Thank you for your detailed response.
Meanwhile I found that reducing the number of images per gallery to four (instead of five before) leads to a view which fits much better to my idea.

Anyway, a feature to size the gallery as a whole might be nice – as well as a feature to use the whole gallery as a link to another page.

    Thanks lot for your time,
    Wolf
