    Hi guys

Im doing deep scan searches & selecting all images. When I resize some images are saying the resized images are larger than the original which isn’t correct. For example:

23/113 >> ERROR: /nas/content/live/bfreefoods/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Hitesh-Singh-Ireland.png (Resized image was larger than the original)

But this is the original image

    image 16602: 2019/07/Hitesh-Singh-Ireland.png (2432 x 3648)

And it won’t resize for me along with many more. Help!

The message means the filesize is larger, and since the purpose of Imsanity is to save you disk space, it won’t save images that end up with larger filesizes.
Note that it’s very common with PNG images, especially when you have PNG images with such large dimensions–they should be converted to the JPG format. You can do that with our free EWWW Image Optimizer plugin.

Ok thanks, I though the ‘convert jpeg to png” checkbox in insanity did that though?

That’s only for new uploads. Existing images can only be converted with EWWW IO.
