Resize of slideshow main image?

Hey hey, just wondering if there is anyway to resize the 482×212 pixel image element that is on the left side of the slideshow? reason being, I need to use portrait images rather than landscapes, and obviously this leads to images being ‘cut off’ or losing their correct proportions.
