Resize photos and thumbnails.

Hi Robert,

The plugin uses WP’s “thumbnail” and “large” image sizes by default. You can change these from the media settings and they will work but it sounds like you are expecting the images to automatically resize after changing them. When you change image sizes in WP, you need to regenerate your images to use the new sizes. You can use a plugin such as https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

You can change it manually through code but I think it’s easier if you just did the above.

I think this is not the problem, or I’m doing something wrong.
The problem is that media settings not making any changes and all my images on my website are 1920×1080. As you can see on my website under your gallery there are some photos with different thumbnail size and when you click them you will get full resolution image 1920×1080.
When I’m going to “Media Settings” ->”Image sizes”->”Thumbnail size” or “Large size” and I make changes there it’s simply doing nothing.
But when I’m choosing “Media Settings” ->”Easy Image Gallery”->”Lightbox” and I’m changing “prettyPhoto” to “fancybox” it’s working well.
So can you tell me what I’m doing wrong please? ??

Sorry Robert, I’m not sure I completely understand.

Are you trying to change the image sizes on WP’s media page and have them automatically resize on your website’s gallery?

I’m not sure I understand what you mean when you say you switched to fancybox and it worked either. Let me know!

I’m not too good in explanations that is for sure ??
Basically when I’m going to “Media Settings” ->”Image sizes”->”Thumbnail size” or “Large size” and I make changes there, it’s not doing any resolution changes with thumbnail or large photos that are displayed on my website.
WP “Large size” by standard set them up to 1080×1080 (I think) and if I make changes to 1920×1080 or smaller 500×500 it’s showing me all the time 1080×1080.

So question is how to change thumbnail and large size photo, because “Media Settings” – the part with “Image sizes” does not work for me.

Thanks for the clarification. This is what I’m referring to in my original reply. In WordPress, if you change the image dimensions through media settings, your images are not automatically resized. This isn’t anything Easy Image Gallery controls.

Only when you upload a brand new image would it be resized to your new dimensions, or if you use a plugin like I mentioned earlier to regenerate all your existing images. Does that make sense?
