Resizing images & re-optimize for web

  • Hi there,

    we uploaded imaged to a gallery. These images are about 5000 x 5000px which is way to large for mostly all cases.

    So we resized the images to 800px in width by using Flagallery.
    Afterwards we wanted to adjust the web optimized images that now have a resolution (1200 x 1200px) bigger than the resized images.

    But re-optimizing the web images doesn’t take any effect on the resolution. They still remain at size 1200 x 1200px

    But if we delete the gallery and upload the images with 800px in width the optimized images are optimized for web properly.

    You don’t need to re-upload images. Just remove images from ‘/wp-content/flagallery/GALLERY_NAME/webview’ folder and then re-optimize images for web in admin panel. New images will be created with 800px in width.
