I love this plugin but is just eating server space.

I see that you guys don’t have solution for this problem for a while.

Would like just to follow up is there any light on the end of the tunnel with possible solution?

    Cheers!

    Hi Markozi,

Yes, using our plugin will eat a little bit more space, here’s why :
    – When you optimize your pictures, it creates a copy of the original picture (named as <yourfilename>-unsmushed.jpg) so that if you change the quality factor, it will re-optimize your whole library by regenerating the pictures from the original file).

So the additional space used is due to all backups (-unsmushed.jpg files).

If you like our plugin, do not hesitate to rate us, it’s our gratification ^^

    Cheers,
    Charles

    Hello,

will there be a release to delete all the unsmushed images? or to export them local and to delete all the unsmushed? I wanted to minify my images.. now it needs more space than before .. ??

Yes, I would like exactly that option too, along with many others according to forum posts. Remove unsmushed images to local storage to free-up server space.

An option to do this and only optimize newly added images and leave already “smushed” images alone.

    Thanks
