    but the problem is a general one. A solution is to run php as fastcgi, but that wasn′t necessarry before wp 3.3.1.

    It is likely that you are using a Plesk control panel. My CPanel WP does not suffer from this syndrome. If you are using CPanel the resolution should be the same.

    PLESK RESOLUTION

    Domain Resolution
    Select your Domain from control panel
    Select under Web Site heading “Web Hosting Settings”
    Under PHP Support make sure setting is
    (run as [FastCGI Application])
    Save the configuration

    Subdomain Resolution
    Select your Subdoman from control panel
    Select the subdomain that is running WordPress
    Under PHP Support make sure setting is
    (run as [FastCGI Application])
    Save the configuration
