    Problem
The excellent and free LaunchEffectApp theme (yes, not a plugin) has the ability to integrate with Aweber and other mail services. However, I found that the “Authorize Launch Effect” link in the Integrations tab fails with a not found error

    Cause and Solution

After disabling the All In One WP Security and Firewall plugin and renaming the htaccess file, and then resetting Permalinks so a new htaccess file is created, the link started working.

The specific cause is the plugin’s Additional Firewall Rules, Advanced Character String Filter option. If this box is checked the Authorize link stated above will fail. Uncheck it and all is well.

That said, I did not check the other email service integrations. But, if I had to guess, they are affected as well.

I’ve said many times before, the All In One WP Security and Firewall plugin is awesome, and that hasn’t changed! I do think, however, that the Advanced Character String Filter option should have a word of caution on screen.

Hi I am not sure if your issue is resolved or not because you added [resolved] in brackets.

Thanks! I goofed and put it in the title, and typo’d it at that.

The issue is indeed resolved, for me anyway. I try to post solutions and workarounds as they are discovered.
