Resolved stubborn broken image permalinks after site migration

Spent loads of time trying to figure out why image permalinks were broken after migrating a site to a new server. Zero images showing up in the media library. Tried other thumbnail regeneration plugins and they didn’t work. Kept getting the same ‘image not found’ error – even though the images were in the uploads directory. Read about this in WP support forum and BAM it worked like a champ!
