I am running a backup on my site and I get the following error related to the Simple History Plugin. I was hoping someone might be able to explain what it’s trying to tell me so I can help resolve this issue and reengage in my daily backup process. Thanks You.

Table wp_v2w4vtmyna_simple_history_contexts has very many rows (691289) – we hope your web hosting company gives you enough resources to dump out that table in the backup If not, you will need to either remove data from this table, or contact your hosting company to request more resources.

You probably have a lot of logged events, for example a lot of failed login attempts. Each logged event results in multiple database rows in the context table.

You can check the sizes of the simple history tables by going to Settings -> Simple History -> Debug.

On the settings page you can also clear the log, i.e. remove all events and clear the database tables.
