Resource Usage Details?

  • I see a lot of folks asking “I have X-thousand posts, will Simply Static work for me?”

    Rather than repeat that, is there any information about what resources dictate how long each Generation will require? We have the flexibility to be able to upgrade the server our WP site runs on, and want to know whether it’s CPU, memory, or disk I/O that will be the biggest factor in how long it takes to generate the static site pages.

    Of course, the ability to generate only deltas would be great, but I understand that’s not a simple feature to add.

    I am sorry to say that presently I don’t have any information about what resources would constrain how long it takes to generate the static site. I’ll do a bit of research and respond here.
